Meet JY: The Woman Behind the Manufacturing

For more than sixteen years, JY has worked alongside Kristy managing production across China and Southeast Asia, solving problems before they become expensive mistakes.

Some of the most important people in manufacturing are the ones you'll never meet.

When founders think about manufacturing, they usually picture factories.

Machines.

Production lines.

Finished products.

What they don't often see are the people behind the scenes making sure everything happens the way it should.

At Source Haus, one of those people is JY.

For more than sixteen years, JY has worked alongside Kristy, managing production across China and Southeast Asia and helping founders navigate one of the most complicated parts of building a product business.

While founders focus on launching their brands, JY is coordinating suppliers, reviewing samples, confirming specifications, following up production schedules and solving problems before they become expensive mistakes.

From supplier communication to production management

JY's role touches almost every stage of the manufacturing process.

She works closely with suppliers across China and Southeast Asia, ensuring communication is clear, timelines stay on track and every detail is managed before production begins.

Because she is fluent in four languages, she is able to communicate directly with suppliers, clarify technical details and reduce the misunderstandings that can so easily occur when products are manufactured overseas.

It's one of the reasons our founders feel supported throughout the process.

"Small problems become big problems"

When we interviewed JY recently, one thing stood out.

She doesn't believe great production is about fixing problems.

She believes it's about preventing them.

As she put it:

"My focus is always on keeping things running smoothly and making sure small issues don't become bigger problems."

It sounds simple.

But it's exactly what good production management is.

The right question before production.

The extra follow-up.

Checking one more sample.

Clarifying one more specification.

Those small moments are often what separate a smooth production run from an expensive one.

What founders often underestimate

After more than sixteen years working with suppliers, JY has seen one mistake come up again and again.

Founders rush.

They're excited.

They want to launch.

They want to place the order.

But manufacturing rewards preparation.

The projects that run most smoothly are usually the ones where enough time has been spent reviewing samples, confirming details and making sure everyone is working towards the same outcome.

More than production

One thing I love about working with JY is that she genuinely cares about the people behind every project.

For her, manufacturing isn't simply about products.

It's about helping founders bring years of ideas, hard work and determination to life.

That care shows in every supplier conversation, every production follow-up and every project she manages.

And it's one of the many reasons our founders trust Source Haus with their manufacturing.

Meet the Team

Over the coming months we'll be introducing more of the incredible people behind Source Haus.

Because while founders often see the finished product...

there's an entire team working behind the scenes to help make it happen.
